Buang kulit dan potong kentang dalam bentuk wedges sederhana tebal supaya bila goreng cepat masak dan isi masak sama rata. Pastikan kebersihan dijaga dan basuh tangan sebelum mulakan kerja tau. Nanti kena penyakit pula.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;2. Kemudian, gaul kentang tersebut dengan tepung ayam goreng dan panaskan minyak. Apabila minyak panas goreng sehingga kekuningan. Untuk sos keju:: Di dalam periuk berasingan, gaulkan separuh paket sos tersebut dengan air (jangan terlalu pekat) dan kemudian buka api kacau sehingga mendidih. OH I'M ASHAMED, really i am. even some of my friend told me i gained weight. smack on the FACE* I'm have been weight conscious since my slimmer days. dunno why i didn't notices the changes. only now I've been cutting on a few there and there. and as for today i have lost a few kilograms. thankfully.&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;so back to cooking. i though today, what about cooking curry. mm.. sounds tasty. even the grumbling sound of hunger in my stomach responds to that. so i cooked a pot of rice in the rice cooker. took out fishes from the feeezer. a few other stuffs from the chiller and now to the mise-en- place.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/yana5550/5678770959/" title="fish curry by liyana5550, on Flickr"&gt;&lt;img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5061/5678770959_54e4e04cee_z.jpg" width="640" height="429" alt="fish curry" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Here's the ingredients.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;2 nos of fish - mine was ikan kembong&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;1 packet of fish curry powder (mix into paste with water)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;2 nos shallots - sliced&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;2 garlic - sliced&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;1 inch of ginger - julienne&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;2 nos bird eye chillies&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;2 red chillies - slice in the middle&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;curry leaves&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;mix herbs&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;water&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;oil&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;salt and pepper&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;sugar&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;method:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;1. heat in a pot, add about 5 tablespoon of oil and then add in the mix herbs, shallots, ginger, bird eye chillies, curry leaves and garlic. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-size: small; "&gt;fry until fragrance and then add in the curry paste.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;2. Let the curry paste cooked for a while until the oil breakouts then add in water. Let it simmer for a while then add in the &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-size: small; "&gt; (optional: add in potatoes, or long beans before the fish) &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-size: small; "&gt;red chillies along with the fish. Let it cook for about 15-20 minutes depends on the size of the fish.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;3. Season well and serve with a bowl of hot rice. I could devour the whole menu that include kuey teow in it.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;Kuey teow ladna, kuey teow hailam, kuey teow soup, kuey teow bandung.....and many many more.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;Only GOD knows why.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;I felt as if the gravy absorb better with kuey teow noddles. Oh Im drooling.. especially when the dishes are cooked by your lovely mom. Her special blends of herbs and spices with unconditional love included makes the food a thousand times better than those at the restaurants. Keep licking those fingers y'all. yes of course when you cook the food yourself you have the advantage of being able to consume in a larger portions than you could elsewhere. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;A few months ago, with not much to ingredients at home. I managed to pull off a few of simple dishes to accompanied a freshly cooked hot rice. Not only it is easy yet very tempting. Then, marinated the prawn with tumeric and salt. Fried until half cooked with little oil in the wok . Put aside&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;blended dried chillies&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;shallots and garlic pounded&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;onion - cut into rings&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;a bit of belacan or prawn paste&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;sweet soy sauce&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;tamarind juice&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;bird eye chillies (optional)&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;For the sauce:&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;Heat wok, add a little bit of vegetable oil. Then add the pounded shallots and garlic when turn almost yellow then add about 2 spoon of blended chillies depends on your taste. If you prefer a bit spicy add more. Then, add the sweet soy sauce and let it simmer a bit. After that, pour 1 tablespoon of tamarind juice and add in the fried prawns. Seasan with salt and pepper and add in the onion rings and if you prefer more spicy add the bird eye chillies.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;Tadaa. (i was so pissed off)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"&gt;Then i managed to take a pictures of both.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 0, excited of getting STICKY however I couldn't even put it in my mouth&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"&gt;it was like eating a piece of art.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"&gt;I was too KIND.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"&gt;So i took me a few hours later to opened the seal and popping one in my mouth&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"&gt;OMG OMG OMG!!!!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"&gt;Its SUPER SWEET!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"&gt;Every one of it has a different flavors and it is really nice.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"&gt;IM SUPRISED!!!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"&gt;I like the way each flavors has a small pictures of fruit on it.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"&gt;How they managed to put the puctures in&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"&gt;Im confius.. need to try make one myself only then i would felt a bit dry while you ate.&lt;br /&gt;and yeah the sambal was extremely spicy for my taste bud&lt;br /&gt;getting me drinking almost all the time i ate.&lt;br /&gt;sorry again!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;what you need to do:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Pound or blend the shallots, garlic and birdeye chili&lt;br /&gt;2. Then in a pot, pour in the water, and add in the chilli paste along with the pounded shallots. Let it until boiling.&lt;br /&gt;3. Next, add in the lemonngrass and asam keping.&lt;br /&gt;4. Finally, add in the fish and season well.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;BEWARE! In a pot, add in butter and apple. let it brown a little.&lt;br /&gt;2. Then, add in sugar and vanilla. Cook until the apple turns quite soggy. Let it cool.&lt;br /&gt;3. Next, roll out the puff pastry and add in the apple fillings.&lt;br /&gt;4. Remember to preheat the oven at 180 degrees celcius fro 15-20 minutes.&lt;br /&gt;5. Before baking, brush with eggewash. It was a historical city with only one tall building there. If you want to travel there, I recommend from Monday to Saturday only because on Sunday every shop is closed. That was a suprise for me because I never been to a place where nobody work on Sunday. Luckily, I went there on Thursday and managed to get a bite at Pak Boh Recipe. It was a restaurant with a nature theme and lots of lights. Even the bathroom is renovated to suite the theme. On the first floor, guest could drinks and watch performances from guest artist.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: verdana;font-size:85%;" &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: verdana;font-size:85%;" &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: verdana;font-size:85%;" &gt;So I try my hand on their nasi goreng udang and raspberry longan mockctail. The fried rice was quite oily and a bit flavorless. At last I could tick off Johor out of list of Places I want go. However there are still many areas in Johor I want to explore. Luckily, I got lots of work to be done in Johor in these 2 months. First assignment send me to Pagoh, Johor. OK, I got to admit I never known this area before so this would be my first that I ever heard a place called Pagoh. It was a small town with lots of 'kampung'. Interesting.. So of course food is one of my thing.. managed to try out Pagoh style Tom Yam. Check em' out.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I say, it was quite dissapointing. The tom yam was lack of paste; should i say flavor-less and quite dull. I was so into the kailan ikan masin (salted fish), because it was so delicious and i just love the saltiness of ikan masin.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vhJqqR7ZOWE/TDw9ZrcWHwI/AAAAAAAABOM/2VGWYdcMHjI/s1600/DSC_0180.JPG"&gt;&lt;img style="cursor: pointer; Finally when they did that demo, all my thoughts about korean cuisines is true.&lt;br /&gt;It was delightful and delicious. My fellow classmate managed to eat a whole pot of bibimbap. So hungry~ lol.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bibimbap is actually a rice with condiments and eaten by mixing them together.&lt;br /&gt;Not forgetting those famous kimchi. I'm loving everything.&lt;br /&gt;Oh yeah, bulgogi is beef that is marinated and then cooked. Why I favor this dish so much, is due to its fishy smell added with a hint of kesum leaves, and addition of the smell of torch ginger bud. Moreover, the combination of spicy and sour from the lime gives it a nice thick soup for your pallette. I adore those innocent plain white vermicelli noodles that manages to soak up all the wonderful flavors from the soup. It is so irresistable. Not to mention the condiments which gives it the added texture and health qualities making it a meal. oh~ how I wish I could eat one now.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Laksa is actually the plain white noodles which is a type of vermicelli. How it got its name is unknown. According to the wikipedia, it is a noodles soup from &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peranakan" title="Peranakan"&gt;Peranakan&lt;/a&gt; culture also known as Baba and Nyonya, which is a merger of &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_Cuisine" title="Chinese Cuisine" class="mw-redirect"&gt;Chinese&lt;/a&gt; and &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuisine_of_Malaysia" title="Cuisine of Malaysia" class="mw-redirect"&gt;Malay&lt;/a&gt; elements found in &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore" title="Singapore"&gt;Singapore&lt;/a&gt;, &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indonesia" title="Indonesia"&gt;Indonesia&lt;/a&gt; and &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia" title="Malaysia"&gt;Malaysia&lt;/a&gt;. I have been devouring this dish for so long that I myself do not know its history.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are actually two types of laksa; curry laksa and assam laksa. I prefer assam laksa instead of curry laksa. Well, I am not a coconut milk kind of person thus I rather choose the non milky texture soup. However, both of them are a must if you desire for a Malaysian culinary adventure.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Usually, assam laksa is eaten with the addition of otak udang (prawn paste). It gives it a thick and sweet taste to the soup. I love mine with it. The must have condiments are shredded cucumber, chillies, limes and hard boiled eggs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It can be found anywhere throughout Malaysia either in streets hawker, kopitiam, restaurants and even hotels. So I thought that would a nice thing to do this tomorrow. So I googled it and found the recipe.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I was quite terified in making bun because I am not good at kneading dough. It makes me tired. lol. Anyways due to my determination in making this happen. I tried it anyways.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Suprisingly, this dough is very soft and less effort is taken when kneading. oh yeah, you might be wondering why I do not used the machine because mine is not that strong enough to be kneading dough. So I use my hands instead. They always say, its better to use your hand. After kneading a few minutes. I let it rest for a good hour. Thanks to them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Polo Bun&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Dough:&lt;/p&gt; &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;240g bread flour (2 cups less 3 tablespoons), I used all-purpose flour&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;60g cake flour (8 tablespoons)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;45g sugar (3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;5g yeast (1 1/2 teaspoons)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;30cc egg (1 medium egg)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;135g water (125ml)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;3g salt (1/2 teaspoon)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;9g milk powder (2 tablespoons)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;30cc warm water&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;45g butter (3 tablespoons)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Topping:&lt;/p&gt; &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;80g butter (6 tablespoons)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;50g icing sugar (1/2 cup)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;1 teaspoon vanilla extract&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;50cc egg&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;5g milk powder (1 tablespoon)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;150g cake flour (1 1/4 cups)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;another egg for egg wash&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Methods:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; 1. Firstly,in a bowl add the flour, sugar, and yeast, salt, and milk powder.&lt;br /&gt;2. Then, add in the butter and make sure that everything goes well together.&lt;br /&gt;3. After that, add in the egg and gradually add in the warm water.&lt;br /&gt;4. Knead the dough for about a few minutes until well combine.&lt;br /&gt;5. Let it rest for an hour.&lt;br /&gt;6. Meanwhile, prepare the topping by adding the butter and sugar. Cream it until the butter turns pale.&lt;br /&gt;7. Then add in the vanilla and mix well.&lt;br /&gt;8. After that, add in the egg and mix it.&lt;br /&gt;9. Gradually, add in the milk powder and flour. Fold them until form a dough. Set aside.&lt;br /&gt;10. After the dough has risen, knock out all the air and roll them out into balls.&lt;br /&gt;11. Place in baking pan and let them rise for another hour.&lt;br /&gt;12. After that, roll out the topping into balls and flatten it on top of the dough.
